Join Maggie, the founder & designer at Heart Signet Studio for a beginner filet crochet doily workshop.

Come learn the basics of filet crochet in a fun, low-pressure setting and end the workshop with a mini doily to take home (made by you!). Learn the technique, stitches, create a design or use one of ours, & get crafting! There will be plenty of time to ask questions, get hands-on help, and connect with family, friends, and other members of the community. 

Whether you’re brand new to crochet, learning a new technique, or just looking for a fun workshop, this is a cozy, casual space to learn and make something beautiful.

About the Artist:

Hi! I’m Maggie McCarthy, the founder of Heart Signet Studio. I’m a lifelong New Englander (born & raised on the South Shore of MA) with an incredible love for fiber arts. I studied textile and surface design at the Fashion Institute of Technology where I first fell in love with weaving, and then all the other fiber arts followed.

I founded Heart Signet Studio in 2025 after about a year as a designer at a huge international retailer. Heart Signet Studio grew from my desire to return to meaningful craft, to support the lovely New England community, and to follow my dreams & passions. The studio focuses on tradition, care, and heirloom quality - creating meaningful homewares while helping foster opportunities for those seeking a more creative and fulfilling life.

This class will be taught upstairs with no elevator access. If you have difficulty using stairs or need accessible accommodations, please reach out to Violet Daffodil House ahead of time so we can ensure you have full access to the class.
