Amalfi in Maine

Amalfi Coast Inspired tablesscape

I was so excited to partner with Megan (29 Pine) and Arly (Honest Event Rentals), for this Amalfi Coast inspired shoot. Set on a private home in Ogunquit, Maine the table was set for six close friends to enjoy a meal together, celebrating their accomplishments and friendship.

This is the best part of being a florist for me—setting a beautiful table for friends and family to enjoy a meal around, fostering connection and community. Bringing beauty to a celebration or just an arrangement into a home to remind you that life is short and to actually “stop and smell the roses”. Flowers have the power to make someone pause and be present in the moment. They have the power to bring loved ones together.

Elegant outdoor dining setup with white tablecloth, floral arrangements, and fruit on a grassy field.

When I think of the Amalfi Coast I think lemons and grapes. Food styling has become a popular trend in the floral world and while I have my hesitations of including food, in an already wasteful industry (something I can expand on in the future), sometimes a table needs to be adorned with some extra delicious textures.

I created two cascading table ends, dripping with grapes, hydrangea, emerald tassel amaranthus and moss. I love to create intricate floral pieces that feel like it’s growing right from the wood of the table. SO beautiful, but I may have a little bit of a bias.

There were so many beautiful touches to this shoot. The astrology glasses from Honest Event Rentals were so sweet and understated. Paired with the table placement cards from Arts Legit, these add such a nice nod to personality, without changing the overall theme.

The film photography, by Dominique Holliday, makes everything look like a dream. I will sing their praises until the day I die!

The bread table, baked by Honest Event Rentals, was the real stunner of the day. Without bread (and flowers) what is to live for?
